On May 5, 2010, at the U.S. Capitol, I was awarded the prestigious 2010 HUMANITARIAN OF THE YEAR AWARD at the 27th Annual SBCA Congressional Awards for my "outstanding humanitarian endeavors and achievements as representative of our nation's small business and for his decades of compassion and tireless efforts in assisting others to make a better world."

Joining me in celebration were my wife, Debra, and my daughters Lauren and Megan.   I was presented the award by my friend and mentor, Neil Carrey.

Also in attendance to receive their SBCA  Congressional Awards were Senator John Barrasso, Congressman Earl Pomeroy, Congressman John Lewis, Congressman Charles Boustany, Senator Maria Caldwell, and Senator Chuck Grassley.
